| Two-time Olympian Duvall Hecht was part of the trio, along with fellow Cardinal alumni Jim Beggs and Jim Fifer, that represented Stanford at the 1952 Helsinki Games. Together, they made up the U.S. men’s pair with coxswain that participate din those Olympic Games. After finishing out of the medal hunt in Helsinki, Hecht returned to the Olympics four years later in Melbourne, pairing with Fifer to claim Olympic gold in the men’s pair without coxswain event. | |||||||||
