| A three-year letterman from 1933-1935, Frank Alustiza helped Stanford to a combined record of 25-4-2 during his time on The Farm including a Pacific Coast Conference title in 1934 and two co-championships in 1933 and 1935. He made a famous declaration his freshman season following a USC victory over the varsity squad that “they will never do that to our team. We will never lose to the Trojans.” His pledge was seconded by a teammate and the Class of 1936 became known as the “Vow Boys”. From 1933-35 his teams proceeded to defeat USC for three consecutive years, making good on their vow. | |||||||||||
