Gary Kerkorian was a three-time letterman on The Farm between 1949 and 1951. A three-year starter a quarterback, he earned first team All-American honors in 1951 for his play at defensive back. Kerkorian was the school record holder in every passing category when he left Stanford. In 1951, he led Stanford to a 9-1 regular season, good for the Pac-8 Championship, and a Rose Bowl appearance against Illinois. Kerkorian enjoyed his best season as a quarterback in 1951 when he completed 103-of186 passes for 1417 yards and seven touchdowns. Drafted in the 19th round of the 1952 NFL Draft, Kerkorian played four seasons in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Colts.
