An eight-time NCAA champion, Linzmeier was a member of Stanford's first NCAA Championship team in 1983. Linzmeier dominated the middle to long distances in the early to mid-1980s, winning three NCAA titles in the 500 and 1650 freestyles and two titles in the 200 free. She was also a part of three collegiate champion relay teams. She was a member of the U.S. National team during the 1980 Olympics, which boycotted the games in Moscow. |
