| One of the nation's top swimmers in the 1950s, Geary won a gold medal in the 100-meter freestyle at the 1951 Pan American Games. She was also a part of winning squads in the 4x100 freestyle and 4x100 medley relay, also at the Pan Am Games in Buenos Aires. Geary also captured individual titles in the 100-meter outdoor and 200-yard indoor at the 1951 U.S. Championships. She was an alternate at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki in the 4x100 freestyle relay. | |||||||||
